    I, unfortunately, have not been makin’ any turns yet. But I just thought this was so bloody well-written—had to give Meagan a good ole’ salute for her creative rhetoric. Love ya, girl!

  19. A Push-Me-Down Pick-Me-Up
Fact: I&#8217;ve been bummin&#8217; around all weekend. You know, getting stuff done, but only very stationary things, like eating scones and reading and sleeping (in several places throughout the day/night). I&#8217;ve been silently cursing myself for being so goddamn slothly when I know I won&#8217;t have time to &#8220;catch up&#8221; &#8216;til the end of the semester.
Discovery: I become freakishly productive and quite handy when I&#8217;m upset. A dis from a friend got me out of my socks and into a pair of ancient uggs, picked me up off the couch and sent me into my pitch-black yard, forced me to put down the book and grab some huge pruning shears. Frenzied branch collecting and a subsequent shop sesh with a hammer, drill, and stationary clamp ensued. I felt much better by the end.
Being hurt, well, hurts, but at least it finally got my bum in gear! Both remarkable and convenient.
